I am always in search of the best tacos and quesadillas in the city and I would say Tacos 46 was a win for the day! The space is clean and the service is fast! The quesadilla didn't blow me away with flavor, but it was filled with steak and cheese so no complaints there!

My husband has been going here since we started dating! He used to chat on the phone with me while chomping on their tacos. He used to be here which felt like every day back then. He would always tell me he would bring me one day and little did we know we would be coming in with our son too! My son loves their guacamole and chips. A family favorite is their tamarind aqua fresca! We always get the largest size to share. Tacos are the bomb.com. We always opt for the carne asada tacos. Next door is their Taco 46 Panaderia! We always stop in after eating tacos for a treat. This will always be a go to for us!

Excellent food. You can tell it is very authentic. The staff was friendly and the food came out fast.

If you don't know about this spot and you live in Indy .. smh. These are some of the best tacos anywhere

We are a couple of Gringos who fancy ourselves connoisseurs of authentic Mexican food. My husband speaks Spanish because he served a church mission in East LA, and is very picky about any Mexican food we try to find. He loved that as soon as you walk in the door, almost everyone is speaking spanish, so you know it's good ! Some friends recommended this place and he loved it, it tasted just like being in an Abuela's kitchen , he said. We tried all sorts of tacos and they were all fantastic, including the different salsas. The chips and guacamole were amazing, and the Panaderia sweets next door were super fun to try as well. The restaurant was also very clean.

I am gluten intolerant and made the mistake of not asking what kind of tortillas each taco was served on. I'm not 100% positive, but it seems like if you add cheese they will automatically give you a flour tortilla. I'm sure if you specified they could easily switch to a corn tortilla. I definitely know to do that the next time. Apart from the steak and cheese tacos (on the flour tortilla) I also ordered a campechano (steak and chorizo). It was tasty and both of the salsas had good flavor.

Just grabbed a quick lunch at Tacos 46. Been going here for years and today's staff is just blowing my mind! The flavors are on point. Food is fresh and hot. We head asada con quesoand chicken tacos. Goid came very quick and the dining room was very clean.

We were searching for awhile for a place to stop. We know authentic and so when we stopped in here we were VERY pleased. You order your food at the counter, grab a number and sit. They bring out the salsas etc first, rice and beans and we got a side of chiles y cebollas toreados. Then came our eight tacos de carne asada. All fantastic. Indy is lucky to have this place. The place itself is super cute and clean.

First time visiting this location and was very impressed with the quantity and quality of options. The Horchata alone is worth going back for. I went with a pretty generic option with the quesadilla but it was very solid. They also have a bakery attached and while I was too full to order anything extra, everything in there looked amazing and I will be coming back soon.

I've had this spot bookmarked for quite some time so it was a treat to finally mark it off the bucket list for a speedy carryout lunch recently. I was delightfully surprised to find that it is attached to a Mexican bakery (double the fun!). The bakery had a great array of savory and sweet treats. As for Tacos 46, it is bustling at lunch time! We ordered chicken tacos with rice and beans and all were quite delicious. Expect to spend around $10 pp for lunch. They have a vast lineup of aguas frescas as well as desserts like tres leches on display at the counter. Next time I will have to try their grilled onions - they seemed to be displayed everywhere. It looks like next time we'll have to try the al pastor tacos based on the review recommendations. Overall, a tasty visit and I look forward to more Tacos 46 in our future.
